Bendix Single Drive, Dual Magneto Replacement (4cyl applications)

The EIS-42000DM Electronic Ignition Kit is a fully STC’d kit to replace the Bendix single drive, dual magneto with a complete, DUAL ELECTRONIC ignition. The two ignition systems are completely independent of each other and do not have any common failure modes. This kit can be used on either 12V or 24V systems. Supplemental back-up power is required. This kit eliminates A.D. Notes, eliminates repetitive inspections, and improves performance. Kit includes: all the required parts to replace the Bendix single drive, dual magneto used in some Lycoming engines.

Electronic Ignition Kits are fully Supplemental Type Certified for the corresponding engine types.

Most parts are not life limited. The MTH is recommended to be changed at overhaul of the engine; spark plug wires on a regular interval. This combined with reduced spark plug fouling means lower maintenance costs.

Improved Horsepower

There will be an improvement in horsepower, smoother engine operation, improved high-altitude performance, and better starting performance. Our MAP Sensors adjust spark timing automatically so timing is adjusted with altitude.
