Michael Kobylik

Co-owner/Engineering Manager

Michael Kobylik brings more than 40 years of experience in general aviation, backed by a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan. His career has been defined by innovation, technical leadership, and a lifelong commitment to improving aircraft systems through engineering excellence.

Michael purchased Electroair in 2005 and recognized the strong potential for FAA certification and immediately set out to rebuild the brand, strengthen the product line, and modernize the company’s identity through improved quality systems, engineering rigor, and strategic outreach. Under his leadership, Electroair has grown from an experimental‑only product line into a certified aviation manufacturer with Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) covering more than 500 aircraft models.

Michael’s career reflects a rare combination of engineering depth, business leadership, and hands-on aviation experience. His technical expertise has made him a recognized authority in the field of electronic ignition systems, contributing to advancements that enhance engine performance, reliability, and safety across the general aviation fleet.

Darrell Pool

Co-Owner/Sales Manager

Darrell Pool, co‑owner of Electroair Acquisition Corporation and owner of Smooth Power LLC, has been a respected figure in the aviation industry for more than 40 years. He began his early career as a propeller technician. After earning a BBA in Business Management from Texas State University, he quickly advanced to Shop Foreman and General Manager before launching his own FAA‑certified aircraft propeller repair station with his wife, Rhonda. Their shared passion for aviation has grown into a thriving family enterprise.

Darrell’s relationship with Electroair began long before ownership. As Electroair’s Master Distributor, he played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s reach, strengthening dealer relationships, and helping pilots and mechanics understand the performance benefits of electronic ignition technology. His deep product knowledge, hands‑on aviation experience, and customer‑first approach makes him a trusted voice within the general aviation community.

Now, as half‑owner of Electroair, Darrell continues to drive the company forward with the same commitment to quality, innovation, and customer service that has defined his entire career. Darrell remains dedicated to bringing high‑performance, reliable products to the aviation market.

Alyvia Kobylik, MBA

Account Manager

Alyvia is a United States Navy veteran with six and a half years of honorable service as a Hospital Corpsman, where she provided critical medical support to sailors and Marines in both clinical and operational environments. Her military career shaped her into a disciplined, mission‑focused professional known for exceptional leadership skills and an unwavering commitment to those she serves.

After transitioning from active duty, Alyvia earned her MBA with a concentration in Finance and Accounting, expanding her expertise from hands‑on medical operations to analytical, data‑driven business leadership. She brings a rare combination of operational experience, financial acumen, and service‑oriented professionalism to every role she takes on.

Alyvia prides herself on her customer‑first mindset, strong communication skills, and ability to solve complex problems with clarity and precision. Whether she’s supporting a team, managing financial processes, or improving organizational workflows, she approaches every challenge with integrity, adaptability, and a drive for excellence.

Production Manager

Brian has been a dedicated member of the Electroair team since 2019, bringing reliability, technical expertise, and an unwavering commitment to customer support to every part he touches. As one of the first people to pick up the phone when customers call, Brian has built a reputation for being approachable, knowledgeable, and ready to help at a moment’s notice. He understands that in aviation, responsiveness isn’t just good service — it’s essential.

With deep experience in the production of Electroair’s electronic ignition systems, Brian plays a critical role in ensuring every unit is built to the highest standards of quality and consistency. He takes pride in the precision of his work, maintaining strict traceability throughout the manufacturing process and verifying that each component meets exact specifications before it moves forward.
